Privacy Policy

Overview

No Skip Albums ("we," "us," or "our") operates noskipalbums.com, a ranked list of albums where subscribers can vote and nominate new entries. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account information — such as your email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in (including via Google OAuth).
  • Subscription and billing data — payment status and related metadata processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage and voting data — votes, album nominations, and other actions you take while using subscriber features.
  • Technical data — standard server and browser logs (such as IP address, user agent, and pages visited) used for security, debugging, and basic analytics.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the site and its features
  • Authenticate users and manage subscriptions
  • Process votes and album submissions
  • Send transactional emails (such as account or submission notifications)
  • Protect against abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • Improve the service and fix bugs

Third-party services

We use trusted third parties to run the site. These providers process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Stripe — subscription payments and billing
  • Google — optional sign-in via Google OAuth
  • Netlify — website hosting
  • Resend (or similar email providers) — transactional email delivery

When you sign in with Google, Google may share basic profile information (such as your name and email) with us as permitted by your Google account settings and Google's policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and protect against unauthorized access. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent some features (such as login) from working.

Data retention

We retain account and voting data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your choices

You can:

  • Access or update account details through your account page
  • Manage billing through Stripe's customer portal (if subscribed)
  • Request account deletion by emailing us
  • Opt out of non-essential communications (we send few, if any)

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
